Bomber Fab engine skid kits are made from CNC bent and notched 1.5" .156 wall Chromoly or DOM tube. They're designed around the LS motors in our race cars to protect them from the harsh environment of the King of the Hammers.
We now offer two styles, Standard and Deep. The Standard skid has a flat bottom for engines that sit higher up and forward in the chassis. We typically use the Standard skid for our race cars. The Deep skid hangs 1.5" lower than the Standard skid. The Deep skid is ideal for deeper oil pans, motors that sit lower and further back in the chassis, and also for routing exhaust under the engine. Deep skids were designed for our V8 trail cars but can fit a multitude of applications.
